| My wife and I have recently bought and restored this lovely 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment, which is in a historic Oltrano Florentine building on a quiet side street called Via della Chiesa. We chose it for its characteristic high wood-beamed ceilings, terracotta floors, and wonderful views from the windows, natural light, tranquility and prime location. We are not a rental agency; this apartment is our own. We have decorated it with care and hope that you will find yourself truly comfortable while staying there.
We have furnished it tastefully, with antiques, comfortable bedding, a washing machine and a fully equipped kitchen. It also has a collection of books about Florence and the Renaissance. We leave local information about shop hours and restaurants in the apartment.
It is located in the heart of the historic center of Florence in the Oltrarno/Santo Spirito area and is the perfect home base for exploring Florence. The apartment is literally steps away from Santo Spirito Church, Pitti Palace, Ponte Vecchio, Boboli Gardens and Brancacci Chapel. It is walking distance from the Uffizi, San Marco, San Lorenzo, Santa Croce, and other historic monuments. It is also near artisan and antique shops and fine dining. There is a daily market with fresh produce in Piazza Santo Spirito. You have the charm of living in an authentic residential Florentine neighborhood while being close to everything you want to experience in this fabled city.
The apartment is also ideal for exploring Tuscany. The train station is a 10-minute cab ride away, while the Florence airport is a 20-minute cab ride. Car rental services are available in Florence, although parking and driving in the city center can be tricky.
